Denver Broncos roster review: Long snapper Luke Basso

by

The Denver Broncos went for Oregon long snapper Luke Basso after the 2026 NFL Draft as they presumably look to add some competition to the position heading into this season. He likely caught the eye of Broncos’ scouts during the Senior Bowl back in February. Denver is known for picking up undrafted players they scouted in person at that annual event.

At Oregon, Basso was the team’s primary long snapper in 39 total games and was a two-time First-team All-Big Ten selection. He has ample experience heading into the NFL. He was ranked the #3 long snapper in the country coming out of high school.

Luke Basso’s 2026 Outlook with the Broncos

At first glance, it seems like Basso will unlikely replace veteran long snapper Mitchell Fraboni this season. However, you never know and Denver certainly committed a bit to signing Basso to the roster last week.
