The UFC’s historic White House event, UFC Freedom 250, is fast approaching, and the organization has just released images of brand new fight kits that the fighters will be wearing during the fight and for their Octagon entrances.
The organization released images of the fight kits via the official UFC X account, along with a link for fans to buy their own version of the gear:

It seems, however, that UFC fans online may not buy the gear at all. In fact, the vast majority of fans on social media have expressed strong dislike for the gear. Here are a few reactions to the official post on X:
“White House event and the best you could do is have Aquafresh looking as fight kits lol?”
“Anyone seen wearing this deserves to be beaten up on the spot.”
“Nothing says freedom like mandatory uniforms for independent contractors.”
“What in the lazy generic soccer uniform hell is this?”

“Got them looking like they’re supporting team France led by 3 foreigners and one washed up American with CTE.”
“There’s 1 American in this photo.”
“Why would fighters that are not from America be required to wear red, white, and blue shorts? That doesn’t make any sense at all.”
“Lol. Imagine actually wearing that sh— around.”
“Epstein and all his mates at the White House are gonna love these new fighter kits.”
“The flag is not supposed to be worn as clothing. Though you right-wingers were all about respecting the flag and bullsh— like that.”

“As a veteran…. This sh— looks terrible.”
“Seriously, look like designers need to step up the game.. The fighting kits look pretty 💩tbh.”
“Worst sh— since your Reebok fight kits launched. Tell old a— uncle Dana to stay away from the fashion choices.”
Few Positive Reactions
It’s actually somewhat difficult to find positive comments in response to the official drop, similar to finding a needle in a haystack. Here are a few comments that did actually find these fighter kits visually appealing:

Fighters React
The UFC followed up with a sizzle reel of various fighters reacting to the fight kits before wearing them for a photoshoot. The clip showed all of the fighters set to fight at UFC Freedom 250, including Ilia Topuria, Justin Gaethje, Michael Chandler, and Alex Pereira:
Despite the fighters looking pleased upon seeing their brand new fight kits, the comments still reflected how unpopular they were with fans:
“Topuria and Pereira wearing U.S. shorts is dumb. Just let them wear their custom shorts.”

“Nothing screams Freedom like making all the fighters wear these dogshit kits instead of their own previous custom ones! USA! USA!”
“They gave Chandler the ring girls’ shorts 🤣”
“Fitted for Walmart.”
“Just garbage holy sh—.”
“UGLY”
“Trash card. Trash pandering to Mango Mussolini. Trash organization.”
While many fans have legitimate criticisms of the fight kits’ designs, it is also quite evident that many of the most vocal fans are disillusioned by the White House event, along with the UFC itself. Mentions of Jeffrey Epstein, comparing the U.S. President to dictators, and the complaints about the lack of recognizable American fighters show that there are deeper issues that many UFC fans have in the modern era.
