The NCAA baseball tournament bracket will be released in less than two weeks, giving teams fighting to be regional seeds or simply make the field of 68 limited time to make their case to the selection committee.
Most of the major conferences have one weekend left of league play before the conference tournaments on Memorial Day weekend decide the automatic selections. After those 29 berths are decided, there will be 35 at-large teams added to the field.

The decisions at the top and bottom of the bracket won’t be easy. The SEC occupies most of the seeded positions with the ACC and others in the mix. However, UCLA from the Big Ten is a runaway leader for the top seed.
On the bubble, there are some tournament regulars in danger of missing out along with the possibility of mid-majors making their way into the bracket – unlike what we see in the men’s basketball tournament.
