San Diego and Cincinnati have treated us to one of the best games of the season so far in MLS. It’s just a shame it had to end!
With San Diego’s defensive struggles we’ve seen some fireworks involving Mikey Varas’ side so far this campaign, but the 3-3 draw with Cincinnati tonight takes the cake by a landslide.

Heading into the stoppage-time the two sides were level at 2-2 before Marcus Ingvartsen fired home what seemed to be the winner in the sixth of six minutes of added-time. And what a stunning goal it was.
But just when you thought that 96th minute winner would put the cap on a truly riveting game of football in Southern California, FC Cincinnati went the other way and scored a leveler nearly straight from the kickoff!
Before we even had to time to process the unbelievable scenes just 30 seconds before, Tom Barlow was sticking the ball in the back of the net to make it 3-3 with the last kick of the game!
How on earth San Diego allowed that to happen, we will never know. But who can argue with such stunning entertainment!
