Hopefully, MMA fans didn’t blink during Saturday night’s bout between Ronda Rousey and Gina Carano. If they did, they may have missed the first round that spanned just 17 seconds.

Rousey finished Carano off with her staple armbar submission and made quick work of her MMA counterpart, who hadn’t fought since 2009. While “Rowdy” did give Carano her praise as her inspiration and a pioneer of female MMA, the former world champion also gave fans some closure on what her future would look like.
According to Rousey, tonight was the perfect end to her career, and she wants to continue her journey as a parent. She also stated her desire to have more kids with her husband, Travis Browne.

What’s next for Ronda Rousey?
After her Most Valuable Promotions MMA bout with Carano, Rousey shared that she is done fighting in MMA and wants to have more. MMA reporter Ariel Helwani asked her about it during her postgame interview, but Rousey left no room for interpretation that she would be returning for another fight. Here is a clip of the interview, with Helwani asking her the question at the 2:45 mark.
“There’s no way I could’ve ended it better than this,” Rousey said. “I want to have some more babies, and I’ve got to get cooking.”
This means that MMA fans just watched one of the most storied female careers of all time conclude on Saturday night, and what better way to do so than a win via her staple armbar submission.

How many kids does Ronda Rousey have?
Rousey currently has two kids with her husband, Travis. Both are former UFC fighters, and the two have to daughters: La’akea Makalapuaokalanipō and Liko’ula Pā’ūomahinakaipiha, according to People.
La’akea was born in 2021, and Liko’ula was born just last year. After her fight with Carano, Rousey reaffirmed her desire to have more kids, an idea she had spoken about even prior to the fight.
“I want to have more kids,” she told The Sun. “I can’t really take more time, you know, taking detours. So, yeah, I really believe that this is what fate led me to. And this is just the perfect way to wrap things up.”

Will Ronda Rousey fight again?
It is extremely unlikely that Rousey will ever step foot into the cage again. After her fight with Carano, the submission specialist shared that she wants to spend time with and grow her family.
According to Rousey, “There’s no way I could’ve ended it better than this. I want to have some more babies and I got to get cooking.”
