Paige Bueckers and Azzi Fudd resumed their UConn connection with an incredible highlight during the Dallas Wings’ matchup against the Washington Mystics on Monday night.

Bueckers is going through the sophomore campaign of her career, building on a start that saw her win the WNBA’s Rookie of the Year award. Fudd is progressing through her rookie year, hoping to make noise as the top overall pick of the 2026 draft.
Bueckers and Fudd flourished together at UConn, leading the program to the Final Four in 2024. Fudd helped the Huskies win the national title the following year, entering the pros with accolades to her name alongside Bueckers.
The star teammates picked up where they left off, pulling off a great connection in the first quarter. They shared the ball as Bueckers got it to Fudd, who made her way to the mid-range area as she converted the jump shot.

Paige Bueckers and Azzi Fudd enjoyed a great night as they led the Wings to a 92-69 blowout win over the Mystics.

Five players scored in double-digits for Dallas in the win, including Bueckers. She finished with a stat line of 18 points, seven assists and three rebounds. She shot 7-of-12 from the field, including 4-of-5 from beyond the arc. Arike Ogunbowale came next with 16 points and three steals, Jessica Shepard and Fudd scored 12 points each, while Maddy Siegrist provided 10 points and two assists.
Dallas improved to a 2-2 record on the season, earning their first victory at home. They sit at fifth place in the West standings, being above the Portland Fire and the Los Angeles Sparks while trailing the Phoenix Mercury and the Minnesota Lynx.
The Wings will look forward to their next matchup, being on the road. They take on the Chicago Sky as the game takes place on May 20 at 9 p.m. ET.
