Daniel Cormier thinks the UFC made the right call regarding Ronda Rousey vs. Gina Carano.
Rousey (13-2) submitted Carano in just 17 seconds by armbar in this past Saturday’s MVP MMA 1 main event at Intuit Dome in Inglewood, Calif. During the buildup, Rousey went off on Hunter Campbell for not wanting to make her fight with Carano happen in the UFC. She claimed Dana White was interested, but it was Campbell who put a stop to it.

Now Cormier says the UFC’s chief business officer had a point.
“If I’m Hunter Campbell, who has been getting beat up in the media because he didn’t want to make this fight, I don’t know that last night did anything to say that he made the wrong decision because of the way that it ended, and that’s just me being 1,000 percent truthful,” Cormier said on his YouTube channel.
“Had you had a great fight, maybe people may have questioned Hunter’s decision. But again, Hunter has made good decisions time and time again, and I believe that last night showed that he made another one by not paying a boat load of money to make that event.”
