After recording a double-double with 21 points and 10 assists in the Indiana Fever‘s 89-78 win over the Seattle Storm, Hawkeyes legend Caitlin Clark extended her WNBA record for career games with at least 20 points and 10 assists to 12.
Clark set the record in unconventional fashion. After an uproar from fans and then an official request from the Fever to the WNBA league office to review the film of its 104-102 overtime loss against the Washington Mystics, the WNBA corrected Clark’s stat line from the May 15 contest.

Two assists that hadn’t been credited were subsequently added to Clark’s box score, making her stat line 32 points and 10 assists against the Mystics.
With her performance against the Mystics, Clark broke a tie with Courtney Vandersloot for the most career WNBA games with at least 20 points and 10 assists. At the rate Clark is going and with how early she is in her career, this figures to be a record that she just might make untouchable one day.
“I always take pride in being able to set my teammates up for success,” Clark said. “That allows our team to really get flowing, and I can do a really good job of that. I only played 23 minutes tonight, and I had 10 assists, so I think it shows the potential of what this team can do offensively.

“They’ve got to make the shots for me to get the assist, so half of it is them, and I’ve got to set them up for success.”
On Sunday, Clark registered her fourth consecutive game with at least 20 points and five assists, tying her for the longest streak to start a season in WNBA history.
Perhaps most importantly, it seems like Clark is finding her shooting touch.
“Sometimes as a shooter, you can overthink when things aren’t going your way,” Clark said. “I knew I was going to break through at some point, and it was good to see them go in. But in my head, just telling myself to let it fly. Don’t hold onto it, don’t aim it, just shoot it.”

Up next for Clark and the Fever is Wednesday night’s matchup against fellow Hawkeye legend Megan Gustafson and the newly-formed Portland Fire (2-2) in their inaugural meeting at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
That game is scheduled for a 6 p.m. CT tipoff and will be nationally broadcast on the USA Network.
