Uros Medic will get his first UFC main event at home.
Medic (13-3 MMA, 7-3 UFC) takes on Daniel Rodriguez (20-5 MMA, 10-4 UFC) in the UFC Fight Night 283 welterweight headliner Aug. 1 from Belgrade Arena in Serbia, promotion officials announced Monday.
Medic, 33, has won four of his past five. His past three wins have come by knockout, most recently a Performance of the Night over Geoff Neal at UFC Fight Night 267 in February.

Also on a three-fight winning streak, Rodriguez hasn’t competed since defeating Kevin Holland at UFC 318 this past July. He was serving time in a Tijuana prison, and was released after eight months.
