The NASCAR Cup Series competed at Charlotte Motor Speedway for the 2026 Coca-Cola 600 on Sunday night. It began with a touching, emotional tribute to Kyle Busch, who died at 41 on Thursday, May 21. Following the tribute, NASCAR waved the green flag. Unfortunately, the race didn’t complete all 600 miles; however, it produced a special winner.
Daniel Suarez and the No. 7 team for Spire Motorsports won the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte on Sunday night, earning their first victory of the 2026 Cup Series season. Suarez was able to hold off Joe Gibbs Racing drivers Christopher Bell and Denny Hamlin after taking two tires before rain ended the event.
Suarez, a former Kyle Busch Motorsports driver, couldn’t hold back his emotions after learning he had won the Coca-Cola 600. It was a special moment for the Spire Motorsports driver. Now, Suarez hopes to carry this momentum into the next NASCAR weekend at Nashville Superspeedway.
