We asked our readers if they think the schedule is fair or not and the resposnes we split.
I get it. There are good and bad thigns about every schedule every year and this year’s Raiders’ slate is no different.
Here are some of your responses:

Relatively tough schedule. Teams where you could argue they’re not favored to lose: MIA, NO, NYJ, CLE, TEN, and ARI. To me, none of these games are “guaranteed wins,” but it wouldn’t be surprising. If they win all these games and get 3 wins from divisional opponents (which would be good, to me), that’s only 9 wins, and this is somewhat optimistic, especially in Kubiak’s first year.

One other thing: Is it me or does the traveling seem a big rigorous (unfair)? I don’t have a good sense of the distance from Vegas to places like NO, but if the Raiders were still in Oakland, the nature of the traveling would seem unfair.

The ’62 Raiders had a record of 1-13 their worst team in team history to this day. In ’63 they brought in a rookie head coach and finished at 10-4 and turned the whole franchise around. That rookie coaches name was Al Davis. Will the Raiders make around like that this year? I rhink its possible but I know alot of pieces have ro fall into place and have a few players step up nobody expected too. But i believe its possible. Im sure not one of these Raider fans who have resigned to ‘its going to take several years to be a contender” …..thats a loser mentaility and its exactly the way our division foes want us to think ncluding our players. I think our division foes fans have more optimism to a quick Raider rurn around than some Raider fans although they would never admit it.

The schedule is what the schedule is, and that’s always been the way it is! But this year is different, for a few reasons over the last 20+ years; 1st.We had the worst record last year, and got the 1st pick. 2nd. What seems to be an outstanding Draft+FA year. 3rd we’ve been bad for so long, and we’re the Raiders who were solid SB competitors for years. We’re like the Giants, pretty similar records over the last 20+ years. We seem to be turning the corner, but we play in arguably the toughest D in football, and 2 other really tough D’s in the league. Our division has never been this tough. This SOS is the culmination of all these things. I myself, have been a fan since 1963, and what I most want from Our Team is for them to be competitive every game, from beginning to end. That being said, if we are, our season will be a success, and we should be able to really bank on Our Team. I’ve always been a positive person, and therefore 8 will be Our Plateau. I’ll be ecstatic!
