Former Penn State guard Dylan Williams is transferring to Northwestern men’s basketball for his final year of eligibility, he confirmed to Conor Smith of the Philadelphia Inquirer on Friday evening.
Williams appeared in just seven games for the Nittany Lions last season before his year was cut short due to an injury. In 2024-25, he appeared in 25 of 27 games, starting 11 of them, in which he averaged 17.0 minutes and posted 4.4 points, 1.2 rebounds and 1.2 assists per contest. A native of Columbia, South Carolina, Williams competed at two junior colleges before joining Penn State.

Williams bring depth to NU’s guard room along with veteran experience in multiple levels of college basketball. He marks the eight transfer to join the ‘Cats, and the most recent addition since Colombia forward Ryan Soulis committed on May 15.
