Atlanta Dream star Angel Reese became the fastest player in WNBA player in history to grab 900 career rebounds.
On Friday, Atlanta scored a dominant 86-66 win over the Portland Fire on their home floor at the Moda Center.

Reese led the way for the Dream, finishing the game with a double-double of 18 points and 12 rebounds, along with five assists and one block in 32 minutes of action.
That victory over Portland has helped Reese and Atlanta stay atop the Eastern Conference with a 5-2 win-loss record.
Aside from another outstanding performance, Reese etched her name into WNBA history with another incredible rebounding milestone.
The former LSU standout surpassed 900 rebounds in just 71 games, and in only her third season in the league.

Reactions from fans immediately followed, a mix of positive and negative comments.
Nevertheless, this historic milestone didn’t go unnoticed by WNBA legend Lisa Leslie. The Los Angeles Sparks icon sent her a seal of approval through a comment on the WNBA’s announcement post on Instagram.
“Get It Girl 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥,” Leslie wrote.
This message from the three-time WNBA champ and three-time MVP speaks volumes, especially given that Leslie is also a top rebounder in her career. She currently ranks seventh all-time with 3,307 career boards.

If the 24-year-old Atlanta star keeps up this rebounding pace, Reese could end up as one of the best rebounders in WNBA history. She’s also well on her way to breaking Tina Charles‘s all-time record of 4,262 rebounds.
Reese also has a shot to break Charles’ record for the fastest WNBA player to reach 1000 rebounds, which Charles set in 89 games, especially if she stays consistent and maintains her season average of 11.0 rebounds per game.
