NASCAR fans hoping to catch a glimpse of the Cup Series rolling into Music City were forced to wait as wetness descended onto the track.

The Cracker Barrel 400, initially slated to kick off at 7:25 p.m. ET, was delayed due to rain. While early forecasts appeared to suggest that the race would be left unscathed due to inclement weather, those who pooled into Nashville Superspeedway’s concourses were holed in as a tempest opened up atop of the famous racing colisseum.
