Only Ryan Barker Away from Penn State Football

by

Back in 2024, Penn State went on the road for a crucial game against USC and Ryan Barker was called upon for the biggest field goal attempt of his life in overtime.

The kick was true. The Lions escaped with a thrilling come-from-behind victory. And Ryan Barker cemented his status as Penn State’s starting kicker.

In 94 days, he will be on the field wearing No. 94 as Penn State opens up its 2026 campaign.

In two years, Barker is 33-of-37 on field goals, making a 49 yarder in each of his first two seasons. He’s also 92-of-94 in his career on extra point attempts.

Barker is not the only No. 94 on Penn State’s roster, however. Redshirt sophomore De’Andre Cook is back after appearing in three games last season at defensive tackle.

Penn State will be on the field with two No. 94’s, hopefully not at the same time, in just over three months against Marshall.
