Duke men’s basketball draws Florida in the ACC/SEC Challenge

by

The Atlantic Coast and Southeastern conferences officially released the matchups for this fall’s fourth edition of the ACC/SEC Challenge, and for the second straight year, the Duke Blue Devils will take on the Florida Gators.

Last year, Duke won a 67-66 thriller at Cameron Indoor Stadium that saw Isaiah Evans hit a go-ahead 3-pointer with 19.7 seconds left in the contest. This year, the Blue Devils will travel to The Swamp for a rematch.

This will be Duke’s first trip to Gainesville since Dec. 17, 1937, when the Blue Devils escaped with a thrilling 37-33 triumph.

Duke currently holds a 15-4 series lead over the Gators, including three straight wins. The program sits at 2-1 all-time in the cross-conference challenge. The Blue Devils lost at Arkansas in 2023 and beat Auburn in 2024.

Adding Florida bolsters an already brutal non-conference schedule for Duke. The slate now includes six opponents that were at least a 3-seed or higher in the 2026 NCAA Tournament. The previously announced matchups include Michigan State (Nov. 10), Illinois (Nov. 17), Connecticut (Nov. 25), Michigan (Dec. 21) and Gonzaga (Feb. 20).

The matchup is slated for Dec. 1 inside the Stephen C. O’Connell Center in Gainesville, Florida. The exact start time and channel info will be determined at a later date.
