Skylar Diggins’ frustrations were on full display when she bluntly answered a reporter’s question after the Chicago Sky’s loss to the Toronto Tempo on Sunday evening.

Diggins is going through the 14th season of her WNBA career, her first with the Sky. She continues to shine as a star playmaker, having a key role in Chicago’s offense.
However, the Sky are experiencing inconsistent performances as they have more losses than wins to start the 2026 season. That continues to be the case after their latest loss to the Tempo, who are playing their inaugural season. Diggins was not happy with the result as she immediately answered one of the reporter’s questions, pointing the issue to head coach Tyler Marsh.
“I had [a question] just on the half court offensive execution,” the reporter asked.
“That’s a Tyler [Marsh] question. Ask Tyler,” Diggins answered.

Skylar Diggins is right to not be content with the Sky’s slow start to the campaign. For them to get back on track, it requires key adjustments from the coaching staff and the players for them to be on the win column more frequently.

Three players scored in double-digits for Chicago in the loss. Azura Stevens led the team with 18 points and 10 rebounds on 8-of-15 shooting from the field. Gabriela Jaquez came next with 11 points and three rebounds, Jacy Sheldon had 10 points and three rebounds, while Diggins finished with seven points and three assists.
Chicago fell to a 4-7 record on the season, holding the sixth spot out of seven in the Eastern Conference standings. They are above the Connecticut Sun while trailing the Washington Mystics and the Indiana Fever.
The Sky will look to bounce back in their next matchup, being at home. They host the Atlanta Dream as tip-off is set for June 9 at 7 p.m. ET.
