Ilia Topuria and Justin Gaethje continue their war of words ahead of UFC Freedom 250.
UFC lightweight champion Topuria (17-0 MMA, 9-0 UFC) will attempt to unify belts with interim champ Gaethje (27-5 MMA, 10-5 UFC) in Sunday’s main event (Paramount+) at the White House in Washington DC (Paramount+).

After a pretty even-keeled fight build, Topuria took umbrage with Gaethje taking a shot at his divorce by issuing a stern warning about “crossing the line.” It prompt “The Highlight” to fire back, claiming he never specifically talked about Topuria’s ex-wife but stating the outrage makes his point.
“Proving my point. Insufferable little b*tch boy. Never said a thing about your wife. You want to speak words to my father then act like I crossed some line. We already fighting buddy.”
Topuria reminded Gaethje how all this started, which is when Gaethje’s father called him a “little short guy,” and Topuria said he’s going to bring this new layer of motivation into the octagon in the final fight at UFC Freedom 250.
“You should’ve kept your father out of this. He was the one calling me a short guy and saying you’d smash me, all while holding a beer in his hand. Then you started talking about my divorce and telling the world you wouldn’t want to be my roommate. Idiot. First, we’re fighting, not dating. Second, I’m not looking for a roommate. When I put you to sleep and you’re lying there next to the rose, I’ll look at your father and ask him one simple question: Who’s the short one now? I’m gonna break you Justin.”
