The spotlight for linebacker recruiting has been on Notre Dame for a few weeks now. Obviously the moves made by current Irish commit, Amarri Irvin, have been well scrutinized. No one is expecting Irvin to be in Notre Dame’s class much longer, and while that may have been concerning for some — I keep pointing to the numbers and saying… it’s fine.
Actually, it might be more than fine.

Through all of this, the Irish have kept recruiting one of the nation’s top linebackers, 5-Star Kaden Henderson. A talent like Henderson has his pick of school, but his unofficial list had dwindled down to Notre Dame, Texas A&M, and Miami. But now… Miami is OUT (and it’s actually a funny story).
Our old pal EJ Holland took to X to break the news to Miami fans, and tried selling it as Miami was “moving on” from Henderson for no real reason.
So, a 5-Star LB who is making his way through the recruiting process and had been predicted to land at Miami is now a player they don’t want signing with them in December because he hasn’t committed in June.

Only the stupidest people alive believe this. Yes, Miami could be moving on — but it’s not because of this nonsense.
What’s even more comical is the 180 that took place in a matter of just a couple of hours.
What a fun world we live in.
So, Miami’s OUT, and this has turned into a Texas A&M vs Notre Dame battle. In truth, I could completely care less as to why Miami is out for Henderson — but I do love pointing out EJ Holland being as terrible as ever.
Notre Dame will host Henderson next weekend during a massive recruiting production in South Bend. There’s a strong chance the Irish could lock this up by the end of the month, and we can send Mario Cristobal some thank-you cards for being so polite in passing on a player of Henderson’s caliber.
