After months of empty promises and false starts, Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) finally pulled the trigger on the Dricus Du Plessis vs. Kamaru Usman middleweight main event, recently made official for the UFC Oklahoma fight card on Sat., July 18, 2026 at Paycom Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
“Stillknocks” is favored to defeat Usman, according to BetOnline.ag, opening at -350 against +285 for “The Nigerian Nightmare.”

Du Plessis (23-3) has not competed since losing his 185-pound title to Khamzat Chimaev at UFC 319 last summer in Chicago. As for the rarely-active Usman (21-4), he’s looking to capitalize on his Joaquin Buckley win atop the UFC Atlanta fight card in June 2025.
UFC Oklahoma City will also feature the strawweight showdown pitting Amanda Ribas against Fatima Kline, while Veronica Hardy and Dione Barbosa hook ’em up at 125 pounds. Elsewhere on the card, longtime UFC veterans Brad Tavares, Jared Cannonier, and Kevin Holland all return to action.
