“Day one, be a good person. Be in the community. Be authentic to who you are. We want guys to represent themselves and the organization in a way that they’re comfortable with. And just being around him, he has that. Day one and a half, become a dual-threat. We know what you can do on offense, make sure that you’re elite on defense. And the names that he’s talked about and where he wants to get to, he’s gonna want to do that.
“But he’s an offensive engine. He can score the basketball at a high-level, but I think what people don’t give him enough credit for is just his connective tissue as a teammate, but also as a facilitator. And when you’re seeing double and triple teams in college, and still leading the country in scoring. I think it’s the first time in almost 30 years where he’s averaging 25 points, six rebounds, and over three assists. He can impact the game in a lot of ways, and he’s just physical. You can imagine what his body’s gonna look like five, six years from now when he’s turning his prime.”
