The Kentucky men’s basketball socials continue to bring us exactly what Big Blue Nation is craving in late June, sneak peeks! We received some last week and have now landed a few on our timelines this week, so let’s talk about them.
First of all, this play is something Kentucky fans better get used to, because we’ll be seeing a lot of it once the ball is tipped for the 2026-27 season. Zoom Diallo hits Malachi Moreno for the alley-oop.
We were also fed two highlights from two players that Mark Pope had some high praise for this week: Alex Wilkins and Justin McBride. Pope compared the two incoming Cats to NBA players that once wore the blue and white, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander for Wilkins and Julius Randle for McBride.
Alex Wilkins, Furman guard transfer, is getting to his spot and giving “SGA vibes,” as Mark Pope said.
Next up, Justin McBride, the James Madison transfer, gets to play clean up on a possession and gets a putback dunk, hinting at those “Julius Randle vibes” that Coach Pope was referring to.
The next clip features Milan Momcilovic doing what he does best: knocking down a three. Then, getting something from Malachi Moreno on the other end. The M&M’s are really getting after it in this clip!
Last, but certainly not least, the clip of the week for many fans so far is this one. The ball movement is exactly what fans wanted and craved once Mark Pope was hired at Kentucky.

While the Cats got plenty of work in, they also took the time to do team-bonding activities around Lexington.
Big Blue Nation has been treated well these last couple of weeks with the clips given out, but I don’t think there is any way this fanbase could receive too much. Out of what we have seen, it’s been a ton of fun, good vibes, high energy, and some really good basketball.
