Azzi Fudd isn’t putting up the offensive numbers that Olivia Miles is.

That has some thinking that the Dallas Wings made a mistake with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2026 WNBA Draft.
Miles went second to the Minnesota Lynx and looks like she’ll be a great player.
Fudd, though, is showing at the defensive end just how talented she is.
She is the fastest guard in the WNBA since its first season to reach 50-plus blocks-plus-steals — not for a rookie, but for any guard.

Fudd was always respected as a defender at UConn, and that has clearly translated to the WNBA.

So far, she has 32 steals and 19 blocks through 18 games.
To be averaging more than a block a game is particularly remarkable for the guard. It shows how good her instincts are.
A the offensive end, Fudd continues to look more comfortable, too. She’s at 13.6 points per game, and that includes shooting 38.4% from 3-point range.
Maybe she won’t be Miles, but Fudd is her own player, and she’s been pretty special, too.
