The U.S. Supreme Court’s recent decision in B.P.J. clarified that Title IX does not require schools to permit transgender girls and women to compete in the girls’ and women’s category. While U.S. Masters Swimming is not governed by Title IX, the decision is likely to influence future policies across many sports organizations.
