Is this the quickest fight of all time? Is it even a fight?
These are questions to ponder as you watch the bizarreness that was a two-second “battle” at Lions Fights 23 in Manaus, Amazonas, Brazil. A bantamweight bout between Matheus Kokama and Michel Pantoja ended as it began – quite literally.

Pantoja (1-3) tapped out immediately upon the fight’s start, leading to confusion and a big shrug from the referee. Kokama (1-4) also appeared baffled, trying to process what had just occurred.
So was it out of fear, an attempt to game the system for a paycheck, or something more nefarious?
Pantoja does not have the best record, but no past history of quitting at a fight’s start – something that is not common, but not unheard of either.
Anyway, the record books (or at least one of them) won’t count it. Database Tapology says the bout will be flagged as record-ineligible as it was not hard-fought to international standards.
