Where Clemson’s 2027 recruiting class ranks by average player rating

by

Clemson football’s 2027 recruiting class continues to stack up well nationally, not just in overall rankings but in the quality of its commitments.

According to 247Sports, the Tigers own the No. 18 average player rating in the country at 88.63. On3 is even slightly higher on Clemson’s class, ranking it No. 17 nationally with an 88.79 average. While Clemson has accumulated 24 commitments, those numbers show the class has maintained a strong level of talent despite its size.

The Tigers have built the foundation of the class with several highly regarded prospects on both sides of the ball. Quarterback Kharim Hughley headlines the offensive group, while players like offensive lineman J.J. Brown and defensive standouts Desmond Malpress, Bryce Kish and Luke Starcevic have helped raise the class’s overall average. Clemson also strengthened its secondary with four-star defensive back Jayden Aparicio-Bailey, who committed after choosing the Tigers over Georgia. Auburn and South Carolina were also in the mix before Clemson pulled away late in his recruitment.

Aparicio-Bailey became Clemson’s 24th pledge in the 2027 cycle and joined a defensive back group that already includes four-star Jarrell Chandler along with Harrison Luke, Bryant Robinson and Christian Chancellor. Although recruiting services project Aparicio-Bailey as a safety, Clemson plans to use the Prattville, Alabama native at cornerback.
