Jeremy Fears named Big Ten Preseason Player of the Year by analyst

by

Michigan State basketball had one of the biggest offseasons in college basketball by simply having star point guard Jeremy Fears Jr. announce his return to the Spartans for another season. The All-American guard tested the NBA Draft waters, but ultimately decided to return to East Lansing for at least one more season. It was a huge development for MSU, and Fears will head into the 2026-27 season with giant expectations and some major hype.

On Wednesday, prominent college basketball analyst Jon Rothstein announced his preseason Big Ten teams and player of the year, and it was no surprise that he had Fears as his preseason player of the year in the Big Ten, and firmly in his first team.
