The Ultimate Fighting Championship is set to return to Oklahoma City for the first time in nearly a decade.
UFC Oklahoma City goes down at Paycom Center in Oklahoma City on July 18. Here’s a brief breakdown of the upcoming Fight Night and how to watch it.
How to watch UFC Oklahoma City in the United States
The broadcast of UFC OKC will commence live on Paramount+ at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on July 18.
Dricus Du Plessis (23-3) and Kamaru Usman (21-4) will meet in a middleweight matchup in the main event of the night. The former went unbeaten in nine straight UFC outings that saw him win the middleweight title and defend it twice. The South African then lost his title to Khamzat Chimaev via a lopsided decision at UFC 319 last August.
Meanwhile, Usman returned to action after a 20-month hiatus in June last year, earning a decision win over Joaquin Buckley. The former UFC welterweight champion rebounded from a three-fight slump with the win over Buckley.
The event will be co-headlined by another middleweight tilt between Jared Cannonier (18-9) and Christian Leroy Duncan (14-2). Cannonier has emerged as a middleweight gatekeeper, consistently thwarting surging prospects. While “The Killa Gorilla” has dropped three of his last four, his losses came against elite opponents. Meanwhile, Duncan is currently on a four-fight winning streak.
Featherweight prospects Austin Bashi (14-1) and Jose Delgado (11-2) will trade leather in the featured featherweight prelims. Bashi suffered his lone professional loss in his UFC debut last year before rebounding with a first-round submission win. Meanwhile, Delgado has finished 10 of his 11 pro wins so far. The UFC prelims will air live on Paramount+ and UFC Fight Pass at 5 p.m. ET/2 p.m. PT.
