Breanna Stewart and the New York Liberty ended their four-game losing skid after beating the Dallas Wings by the skin of their teeth, 99-98, in overtime at College Park Center on Monday.

Sabrina Ionescu was on fire in the extension, scoring 12 points to hold off the Wings. Stewart, meanwhile, carried the Liberty throughout the nip-and-tuck contest, finishing with 33 points, 13 rebounds, eight assists, and two blocks. Ionescu had 21 points and four rebounds.
The Wings had a chance to steal the win, but Arike Ogunbowale missed her layup.

After a tight battle in the first half, Dallas broke away in the third quarter, outscoring New York, 21-9. The Liberty, however, returned the favor, outscoring the Wings, 24-15, in the fourth period to force overtime. They had the chance to end it in regulation, but Rebecca Allen muffed her three-pointer.

New York snapped Dallas’ franchise-record six-game winning streak.
The Wings played minus Paige Bueckers, who is still recovering after hitting her head on the floor against the Los Angeles Sparks on Sunday. The Liberty, on the other hand, were still without Satou Sabally, who remains under concussion protocol.
New York and Dallas were supposed to play on July 16, but the game was postponed due to travel delays caused by mechanical issues with the Liberty’s charter flight.
The Liberty survived the Wings despite shooting just 42% from the floor, including 9-of-32 from three-point territory. They won the rebounding battle, 48-34, and went 20-of-23 from the free-throw line.

Jonquel Jones chipped in 14 points and 10 rebounds, while Marine Fauthoux added 10 points and 10 rebounds off the bench.
The Liberty will face the Chicago Sky on Wednesday.
