Indiana men’s basketball has added its third preseason exhibition matchup against another NCAA Division-I college basketball program. The Hoosiers will face Butler at historic Hinkle Fieldhouse in Indianapolis on Sunday, October 11 with the Bulldogs traveling down to Bloomington the next year for a return exhibition game at Assembly Hall.
This October’s game will be the first, albeit unofficial, meeting between the two programs since a 68-60 Indiana win in Gainbridge Fieldhouse back in December 2020 in the Hoosiers’ final game of the Crossroads Classic event. Indiana owns a 40-15 all-time record against Butler including a 17-9 record away from Assembly Hall. Indiana is entering Darian DeVries’ second season as head coach while Butler is entering Ronald Nored’s first.

Indiana is also set for exhibition matchups against North Carolina on Sunday, October 18 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis and Western Kentucky on Sunday, October 25 at the Ford Center in Evansville.
