Mia Bieniemy, the wife of Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy, made the 911 call after being shot twice by her son, according to Loudoun County Sheriff Mike Chapman.
While not explicitly naming the victim in the case, Chapman told ABC 7 News (WJLA, Washington, D.C.) that the victim of the alleged shooting called emergency services after being shot “a couple” of times.

“She had called in – the mother, who we know – had called in the shooting, and it was involving the son, so that’s where we’re at right now,” Chapman said on July 27.
Mia Bieniemy is hospitalized for “serious” injuries. According to Chiefs head coach Andy Reid, she is in stable condition.
“Our hearts go out to Eric Bieniemy and his family. Thoughts and prayers are with them,” Reid told reporters Monday, July 27. “Mia is stable, which is a plus. We all love EB, and you hate seeing those things happen.”
Chapman added that the investigation remains ongoing.

“We have to go through an entire investigation to find out exactly where everybody was, what everybody did, what prompted it, how it all transpired, but we’re investigating right now,” he said.
Later named by Chapman, Elijah Bieniemy is being held without bond and faces three felony charges: malicious wounding, use of a firearm in commission of a felony, discharge of a firearm inside of a dwelling.
Arraignment took place on Monday, July 27 according to online court records, and a preliminary hearing is scheduled for Aug. 31.
Eric Bieniemy is currently away from the Chiefs and with his wife in the hospital as NFL training camps get underway.

Sheriff says no prior incidents at the home
Labeling it a “domestic disturbance,” Chapman added that he is unaware of any prior incidents or arrests that occurred at the family home where the alleged shooting took place.
“We don’t know of any incidents before at that particular residence, as far as any prior arrests, I’m not aware of any, but we’re going to conduct that research,” Chapman said.
