Report: Arman Tsarukyan vs. Charles Oliveira 2 tops UFC 331 in LA

A big one is coming to the City of Angels.

No. 2-ranked Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Lightweight contender Arman Tsarukyan will reportedly rematch former UFC Lightweight champion and current BMF titleholder Charles Oliveira at UFC 331, which goes down Sat., Sept. 19, 2026, inside Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California.

That is according to sports reporter Manouk Akopyan.

It is currently unknown if the massive Lightweight matchup will be contested for Oliveira’s BMF title or if it is expected to headline the event.

The two first met at UFC 300, where Tsarukyan defeated “Do Bronx” via split decision in a very competitive three-round fight.

Tsarukyan (23-3) last competed inside the Octagon in the main event of UFC Qatar, where he demolished Dan Hooker in two rounds (watch highlights).

However, the Armenian contender has stayed extremely active outside the cage by competing for Real American Freestyle (RAF). Tsarukyan is 7-1 under the RAF banner, most recently suffering his first promotional loss to Colby Covington in the main event of RAF 11 (watch highlights).

“Ahalkalakets” will also be returning to the city where he lost his chance to fight Islam Makhachev for the undisputed UFC Lightweight title after withdrawing one day before UFC 311.

Los Angeles has a massive Armenian population, meaning the No. 2-ranked Lightweight could be treated like the hometown fighter when he walks into Crypto.com Arena.

Oliveira (37-11), meanwhile, was last in action against Max Holloway at UFC 326, where he captured the BMF title with an extremely dominant — but somewhat lackluster — unanimous decision win.

The Brazilian is currently riding a two-fight win streak since getting slept by Ilia Topuria at UFC 317 (watch highlights).

Now, he gets a chance to avenge one of his losses.

And with the Lightweight division still sorting itself out while Justin Gaethje decides what comes next, Oliveira vs. Tsarukyan 2 will have major title implications.

Here is what UFC 331 looks like so far:

Charles Oliveira vs. Arman Tsarukyan 2
Renato Moicano vs. Brian Ortega
Charles Jourdain vs. Marlon Vera
Ryan Gandra vs. Ozzy Diaz
Dooho Choi vs. Patricio Freire
Eduarda Moura vs. Casey O’Neill
