The Brewers (67-41) enter Sunday Leadoff as one of the National League’s premier teams. Pat Murphy’s club has been powered by elite pitching across the board, boasting the second-best team ERA (3.51) in all of baseball. Anchoring the rotation and much of Milwaukee’s success is flame-throwing ace Jacob Misiorowski, who has put up video game numbers this year as he solidifies his status as arguably MLB’s top starting pitcher. The 24-year-old leads the entire sport in ERA (1.58), WHIP (0.750) and K/9 (13.9).

Behind Miz, Logan Henderson (2.66 ERA) and Shane Drohan (3.51 ERA) have emerged as consistent forces for the Brewers’ staff. Meanwhile, Milwaukee’s offense has produced as one of the game’s most well-rounded units, currently boasting top-five numbers in total runs scored (546, fifth), batting average (.255, fourth), OBP (.337, third) and walks (443, second).
Driving much of the Brewers’ offensive success has been William Contreras, who has taken his place among the game’s top offensive catchers. Brice Turang has continued where he left off after his breakout 2025 season, becoming a trusted producer near the top of Milwaukee’s lineup alongside Jackson Chourio (.274 BA), who has been the definition of consistency while still just 22 years old.
The Angels (42-67) find themselves on an opposite path this year, with all signs pointing to selling at the trade deadline despite the AL West’s wide-open nature. They enter their series with the Brewers fresh off a sweep at the hands of the Astros, with a 1-6 record in their last seven.
Though the Halos have underwhelmed this year, Zach Neto has provided a spark offensively, with his 19 home runs paving the way for a potential career-high in long balls. Mike Trout has mostly cooled off after a throwback start to his year, but his .393 OBP remains the seventh-best mark in MLB. On the mound, Angels pitchers have combined for 971 strikeouts, good for eighth-best in baseball.
