According to Rivals’ Hayes Fawcett, the Alabama Crimson Tide are reportedly among the nine finalists for elite 2028 defensive line recruit Tyzon Swann.
The Crimson Tide are joined by Auburn, Florida, LSU, Maryland, Ohio State, Oklahoma, UCLA, and USC in Swann’s list of nine finalists, per Fawcett. At this time, a commitment date is not set for Swann.

Swann is currently considered as the nation’s No. 10 overall prospect in the 2028 recruiting class, as well as the No. 2 defensive lineman nationally, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings. Rated as a five-star recruit, Swann is also considered the No. 1 2028 prospect in the state of Maryland where he attends Henry E. Lackey High School.
Alabama‘s 2028 recruiting class currently ranks as the nation’s best, per 247Sports, with seven total commitments. The Crimson Tide’s class does not feature an interior defensive lineman at the moment, nor a five-star prospect.
