Maccabi Rapyd Tel Aviv has signed Keaton Wallace to a two-year contract, adding the 27-year-old American guard to Oded Kattash’s backcourt. Wallace joins after spending the 2025-26 season with the Atlanta Hawks, where he averaged 3.5 points, 1.1 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 53 games.
Wallace shot 39.8% from the field and 37.3% from three-point range in 10.1 minutes per game for Atlanta. Across his two NBA seasons, he appeared in 84 regular-season games, making eight starts, and averaged 4.2 points, 1.3 rebounds and 2.1 assists while shooting 35.3% from three.
His limited NBA role contrasts with the larger responsibilities he handled in the G League. Wallace averaged 16.1 points, 6.3 assists and 5.1 rebounds per game for the College Park Skyhawks last season while shooting 38.5% from three-point range.
Maccabi is adding Wallace to a backcourt that underwent significant changes during the offseason. Tamir Blatt, who averaged 7.1 points and a team-high 5.2 assists per game in 38 EuroLeague appearances last season, is among the departures, while Lonnie Walker IV also left after leading the team with 15.2 points per game.
Maccabi finished the 2025-26 EuroLeague regular season 18-20 and 12th in the standings.
Wallace’s ability to create for himself and teammates gives Maccabi another ball-handler alongside its offseason additions. The club has also added Bonzie Colson, Yam Madar, Daniel Theis and Armando Bacot as it reshapes the roster for the upcoming season.
Wallace reached the NBA after going undrafted in 2021 following his college career at UTSA. He previously played for the Los Angeles Clippers’ G League affiliate before signing with Atlanta in September 2023.
His best NBA performance came during his first season, when he scored 27 points against Chicago and later recorded a triple-double against Orlando with 15 points, 15 assists and 11 rebounds. He also had 14 points and seven rebounds against the Los Angeles Lakers during the 2025-26 season.
Wallace now moves to the EuroLeague with a two-year contract and a larger expected role. He will be tasked with adding ball-handling, perimeter shooting and defensive intensity to a Maccabi team that finished 12th in Europe last season.
