Jamil Robinson, a three-star 6-foot-11 power forward in the 2027 class, has committed to NC State, he told Rivals.
The high-upside rising senior out of Eagles Landing Christian Academy (GA) flew under the radar after a broken foot caused him to miss his junior high school season. Robinson returned to the court this summer, playing the final two sessions of the Nike EYBL for Jet Academy, where he caught the attention of the NC State coaching staff and received his first high-major offer from the Wolfpack.

Robinson on his commitment to NC State
NC State’s belief in Robinson and his long-term potential ultimately led to his decision to commit.
“Coach Gainey, Coach Brooks, Coach Goins, Coach Driscoll, Coach Collins, Coach Vasiljevic, and Coach Dukquits, along with the entire staff, all shared a similar vision for me, and the main thing that stood out to me the most was their belief in my development and my ability to reach my full potential. They believe in the extreme upside that I have and that I have the potential to become an elite player and possibly play professionally one day. Their development plan for me, along with the opportunity to compete at the highest level of college basketball, was something I valued tremendously.”
The opportunity to compete in the ACC was also a major selling point for Robinson, who believes NC State is the right place to develop and showcase his skill set.

“Playing in the ACC gives me the opportunity to compete against some of the best players and programs in the country, while also putting me in a position to gain exposure to NBA scouts and continue working toward my ultimate goal of playing professionally. I truly believe NC State is the place where I can develop on and off the court, reach my full potential, and take the next step in my journey.”
In addition to NC State, Robinson received offers from Tennessee Tech, Charlotte, Georgia Southern, Wofford, Omaha, and West Georgia.
Robinson, currently unranked nationally, becomes the Wolfpack’s first commitment in their 2027 class.
