Lady Vols basketball will start SEC play at on the road in the 2026-27 season.
The SEC announced the 2026-27 women’s basketball schedule on Aug. 10, with tipoff times and broadcast information to be released at a later date. Tennessee will play Texas A&M in College Station, Texas on Dec. 31 to open conference play.

The Lady Vols play several big matchups at home this season, and they’ll host South Carolina, which won the 2026 SEC regular-season championship, on Jan. 28, LSU on Feb. 25, Oklahoma on Jan. 10 and Ole Miss on Jan. 3.
The matchup with the Rebels will bring two former Lady Vols back to Knoxville. Former star guard Talaysia Cooper, who led Tennessee in scoring the past two seasons, and Jaida Civil both transferred to Ole Miss in April when all eight possible returners left Tennessee. Civil was one of five freshmen to transfer out of the program after one season playing for coach Kim Caldwell.
The Lady Vols have big road matchups against Texas, which won the 2026 SEC Tournament, on Jan. 7 and Vanderbilt on Feb. 7. The Commodores have won the last three matchups, including handing Tennessee an 87-77 loss on senior day March 1.
Kentucky is Tennessee’s lone home-and-home series in conference play, and it will face the Wildcats at home on Feb. 21 and on the road on Jan. 21.

The Lady Vols will face Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, LSU and South Carolina at Food City Center. They’ll play Arkansas, Florida, Mississippi State, Missouri, Texas, Texas A&M and Vanderbilt on the road.
The 2027 SEC Tournament, featuring all the league’s 16 teams, will be played at Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, S.C. beginning on March 3.
Tennessee went 8-8 in SEC play for a second straight season and finished in a four-way tie for sixth in the conference last season. The last time the Lady Vols won an SEC championship was in 2014-15 when they shared the regular-season title with South Carolina. Their last SEC Tournament title was in 2014.
