Bayern Munich has signed former first-round NBA draft pick MarJon Beauchamp for the 2026-27 season, adding the 25-year-old wing as the club prepares for its first season under head coach Anton Gavel.
Beauchamp arrives with 149 NBA appearances, including 14 games for the Philadelphia 76ers last season, when he averaged 6.8 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 14.0 minutes per game. The 2.01-meter forward also spent time with the Milwaukee Bucks, Los Angeles Clippers and New York Knicks after Milwaukee selected him No. 24 overall in the 2022 NBA Draft.
“I won’t hide the fact that I see myself as an NBA player, but this step to Europe is part of my journey now, and I’m really excited to play for Coach Anton and Bayern,” Beauchamp said. “I want to grow as a player at Bayern and become a better basketball player.”
Beauchamp’s NBA production was limited, as he averaged 4.4 points, 1.9 rebounds and 0.6 assists over 149 career games while shooting 43.1% from the field and 35.2% from three-point range. His most productive NBA season came in 2023-24, when he averaged 4.4 points and 2.1 rebounds in 48 games for Milwaukee.
His development was more pronounced in the G League. Beauchamp averaged 24.7 points, 6.3 rebounds and 5.7 assists for the Wisconsin Herd in 2023-24, while last season he posted 23.8 points per game in 24 appearances for the Delaware Blue Coats, shooting 37.2% from three.
Beauchamp also demonstrated his scoring ability with Team USA during the first window of 2027 FIBA World Cup qualifying. He scored 24 and 26 points against Nicaragua, making nine of 14 three-point attempts for a 64.3% conversion rate across the two games.
“I see myself as a big, athletic wing who can play both positions,” Beauchamp said. “Pick-and-roll, catch-and-shoot, I get out in transition quickly and can defend the opponent’s best player.”
Gavel expects Beauchamp to contribute on both ends of the court. “We expect him to give us a spark on both ends of the floor: offensively, he can score and elevate the team through his individual quality; and defensively, his size and athleticism allow him to keep the man in front,” the coach said.
Beauchamp becomes Bayern’s sixth external signing of the summer and joins a roster that has already added Johannes Thiemann, Tobias Jensen, Duane Washington Jr., Austin Wiley and Miles Norris.
The move comes after Bayern finished 13th in the 2025-26 EuroLeague regular season at 17-21. Andreas Obst led the team with 14.5 points per game.
Bayern has lost Isiaha Mike, Leon Kratzer, Neno Dimitrijevic, Xavier Rathan-Mayes, Stefan Jovic and Wenyen Gabriel from last season’s roster..
