Indiana Fever vs Atlanta Dream: TV channel, time, how to watch WNBA game

by

ATLANTA ― The race to the WNBA playoffs is on, and every game from here on out could have major implications for teams in the top eight.

That list currently includes the Indiana Fever (22-12) and Atlanta Dream (21-12), who will face one another in a Sunday matchup at State Farm Arena (5 p.m. ET, ESPN). The Fever and Dream currently occupy the fourth and fifth spots, respectively, in the league’s standings and hope to clinch a playoff spot in the coming weeks. Sunday’s game could play a factor in where each team ultimately lands.

The Dream currently own the tiebreaker and season series over Indiana (2-1), but the Fever look to change that. Indiana is on a three-game winning streak after picking up a 98-87 win over the Dallas Wings on Friday. Indiana had four players in double digits against Dallas, including Caitlin Clark, who finished with 29 points and 10 assists. Kelsey Mitchell added 23 points, extending her current streak of scoring 20 points or more to a league-record 18 games.

Atlanta hopes to extend its own win streak to three games and take the season series against Indiana following an Aug. 13 blowout road win over the Connecticut Sun. Rhyne Howard and Allisha Gray led the way with 29 points each in the Dream’s 104-69 win against the Sun. Angel Reese owned the boards with 15 rebounds, setting a single-season franchise record for most rebounds (375). Reese accomplished the feat in 32 games.
