College Swimming League Announces Sites for Inaugural Season
The College Swimming League, which will debut this fall with some of the country’s top programs participating, has announced the venues for this year’s meets. The schedule will get underway on September 24 and 25 at the FMC Natatorium in Westmont, Illinois and will conclude with the wildcard and championship meets on November 5 and 6 at the Indiana University Natatorium in Indianapolis.
“We are absolutely thrilled to bring the inaugural College Swimming League season to life across six of the finest aquatics venues in the country,” said Rob Kent, the CEO of the CSL. “Launching a revolutionary new league requires world class stages, and our official matches deliver exactly that for our athletes and fans. Beginning with our very first matchups at FMC, through high-octane regular season stops at Stanford, Tennessee, Mt San Antonio, and UGA, all the way to our postseason grand finale at the legendary IU Natatorium, we have built a competitive landscape designed for elite racing. Thanks to our landmark broadcast partnership with ESPN, fans at home can watch this incredible multi-venue journey unfold live all season long. We cannot wait to showcase the fast-paced, team-focused energy of the CSL to fans everywhere from these spectacular facilities.”
In addition to competition at the FMC Natatorium and IU Natatorium, sites will include the Avery Aquatic Center at Stanford, the University of Tennessee’s Allan Jones Aquatic Center, the Mt. SAC Aquatic Center in California and the Gabrielsen Natatorium at the University of Georgia.
“Fans have been asking us where these matches will happen since the day we announced the league, so this is a fun one to finally share,” said COO Kyle Sockwell. “These six venues give us the room to build the kind of match day you plan a trip around, and the schedule takes us coast to coast. We’ve got more announcements on the way, and every one of them is another step toward the future this sport deserves. College swimming has been ready for a bigger stage for a long time, and now it finally has one.”
