The Flyers open rookie training camp Friday, Sept. 11, before kicking off their series against the Rangers’ prospects at PPL Center in Allentown, Pennsylvania. The rookie games are Saturday, Sept. 12 (7:05 p.m. ET), and Sunday, Sept. 13 (5:05 p.m. ET).

The club opens main training camp Thursday, Sept. 17, and starts its preseason slate Monday, Sept. 21.

After four exhibitions games, the Flyers host the Penguins in their regular-season opener Wednesday, Sept. 30. With the shortened preseason and the NHL extending its schedule to 84 games for every team, this will be the earliest the Flyers have ever started a regular season.

The Flyers are trying to reach the playoffs in consecutive seasons for the first time since the 2010-11 and 2011-12 campaigns.
