Abhishek Sharma scored the fourth century of IPL 2026, following Sanju Samson, Quinton de Kock and Tilak Varma to the milestone, and Eshan Malinga picked up 4 for 32, prompting movement on both the Orange Cap and Purple Cap tables, Sunrisers Hyderabad thumped Delhi Capitals on Tuesday night.
Abhishek batted out the entire 20 overs for the first time in his T20 career and carried SRH to a total of 242 for 2. He made the fifth-highest individual score in IPL history – 135 off 68 balls – and carried his team to joint-second place on the points table. His ninth T20 hundred – a record he now holds among Indian batters alongside Virat Kohli – took his season tally to 323 from seven innings at a strike rate of 215.33.
Heinrich Klaasen is in second place on the Orange cap table, only three runs behind his team-mate. He hit 37 not out off 13 balls in a third-wicket partnership that fetched 66 runs in 32 balls.
At No. 3 is Gujarat Titans captain Shubman Gill with 265 runs from five innings at a strike rate of 151.42, followed by Kohli of Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Vaibhav Sooryavanshi of Rajasthan Royals.
Below them, completing the top ten, are Ishan Kishan (SRH), Rajat Patidar (RCB), Cooper Connolly, Yashasvi Jaiswal, and Priyansh Arya.
Eshan picked up his third four-for in T20 cricket against DC which carried him up to joint-second place on the highest wicket-takers list for this IPL season. He has 12 now at an average of 18.08 and economy rate of 9.43. GT’s Prasidh Krishna also has 12.
Still with the purple cap though is Chennai Super Kings’ Anshul Kamboj, who has 13 wickets.
Prince Yadav, the uncapped quick from Lucknow Super Giants, is in fourth place followed by Bhuvneshwar Kumar (RCB), Kagiso Rabada (GT) and Ravi Bishnoi (RR) all tied on 10 wickets each.
