As if there weren’t already enough fireworks in the Airline football offensive game plan over the past couple of years, get ready for more. The dynamic duo of Parkway’s explosive offensives of a few years ago are now reunited under the Viking logo.
Airline football coach Justin Scogin, who was David Feaster’s offensive coordinator at Parkway, has hired Keondre Wudtee, the former prolific Parkway quarterback, as his quarterbacks coach. Those two guys combined to rip up some serious yardage when Scogin was instructing Wudtee as a Panther in 2015 and 2016. Wudtee followed former LSU quarterback Brandon Harris in running the Panther offense.

“We were together all four years at Parkway. Keondre was an extremely smart kid then and he’s even smarter now,” Scogin said. “He was a great quarterback and he’s an even better coach. He’ll be the first quarterback coach I’ve had in 17 years. I’ve always done it myself.”
Before signing with Oklahoma State in 2016, the Shreveport Times All-City quarterback passed for 3,466 yards with 401 rushing yards and 39 total TDs during his senior season alone. He led Parkway to the District 1-5A title and to a Class 5A LHSAA semifinal appearance. His Panthers were 12-2 overall and he completed 58% of his passes with just nine interceptions.

Wudtee was on Byron Dawson’s staff at Centenary College for two seasons before joining DeAumante Johnson’s staff at Southwood last season.
“Ever since I moved back to Louisiana, coach Scogin has wanted me over here with him. He coached me in high school and playing in this offense is such an easy transition,” Wudtee said. “I would love to be over there with coach Johnson, but some things happened, and now I’m here.”
Former Centenary offensive coordinator Keondre Wudtee is now coaching quarterbacks at Airline.
More than once, Wudtee has heard that he’s Scogin’s inaugural quarterback coach.
“Every time he tells me that, I start blushing a little bit,” he said chuckling. “I’m excited for the task at hand – to develop those guys and get them where I want them to be and where he wants them to be within this offense. I’m excited for the future.”
