Alabama football first SEC availability report out for Oklahoma

by

After Alabama football coach Kalen DeBoer called him “questionable” on the SEC coaches teleconference Wednesday Nov. 12, Crimson Tide linebacker Qua Russaw was listed as questionable on the team’s first SEC availability report before facing Oklahoma Saturday, Nov. 15

DeBoer admitted Alabama is “unsure” about Russaw’s status, but that he continues to come along “nicely” as he recovers from a broken foot he suffered in Alabama’s win against Georgia in September.

“I would consider it at least on if not ahead of schedule from what we originally thought,” DeBoer said Wednesday.

Linebacker Cayden Jones, who’s been out with an ankle injury, is also listed as questionable. Defensive back DaShawn Jones, Alabama’s primary nickel starter, is listed as probable.

Linebacker Abduall Sanders Jr. and tight end Danny Lewis Jr. were added as out for Oklahoma.

Linebackers Jah-Marien Latham, defensive lineman Jeremiah Beaman and defensive back Dre Kirkpatrick Jr. remain out for Alabama-Oklahoma.

Alabama kicks off against Oklahoma at 2:30 p.m. CT Nov. 15 on ABC.
