Alexia Brockmann To Join Harvard’s Class of 2031
NEW COMMIT: Chicago, Illinois native Alexia Brockmann has announced her verbal commitment* to Harvard University for Fall 2027. She is a talented freestyler and backstroker who is a Sectionals qualifier.
She will join Serene Jourdy in Cambridge as a member of the Crimson’s Class of 2031.
Regarding her commitment, she said:
“I’m thrilled to announce my commitment to the admissions process at Harvard University! I’m incredibly grateful to my family, friends, and coaches—especially Coaches Dave, Justin, Ethan, and Juan—for their constant support and guidance over the years. A special thank you as well to Coaches Amanda and Geordie for this amazing opportunity. I can’t wait to be part of such an incredible team. Go Crimson!!”
Brockmann, who does her club swimming with Chicago Wolfpack Aquatic Club, had five top-8 finishes at Illinois Short Course Seniors in March before going on to take eighth in the 100 back and 10th in the 50 free at West Fargo Sectionals a week later. Last summer, she earned four best times at NCSA Summer Championships where she finaled in four events.
Her best times include:
- 50 free – 23.51
- 100 free – 51.43
- 200 free – 1:52.85
- 100 back – 55.62
- 200 back – 2:01.07
- 200 IM – 2:04.53
Harvard placed third at the 2026 Ivy League Championships and sent four swimmers to the NCAA Championships. Brockmann’s best times in the 50 free and 100 free would’ve ranked fifth on the Crimson’s lineup last season.
*IVY LEAGUE DISCLAIMER:* A “verbal commitment” does not guarantee admission. An Ivy League coach cannot guarantee admission but can only commit support in the admissions process.
