Angel Reese Gets Strong Message from Former NFL Player on Monday originally appeared on Athlon Sports.
It was a strong win for head coach Tyler Marsh and the Chicago Sky on Sunday in Los Angeles. The 92-85 victory over the Sparks was much needed, especially after Friday’s frustrating loss to the Golden State Valkyries, a game Chicago felt in control of until it slipped away late.

At 5-11, the Sky still have a long road ahead and sit fifth in the Eastern Conference, but Sunday’s performance was a step in the right direction. A major part of that success was Angel Reese, who has been on a tear lately.
On FS1’s “The Facility,” on Monday morning, Emmanuel Acho joined James Jones and T.J. Houshmandzadeh to highlight Reese’s impact, both on the court and on the league as a whole.
“She has also played a part in the rise of the WNBA,” Acho said. “I needed to take the time to say Angel has been balling.”
Acho started his comments with a bold take:
“I don’t think we’ve given enough credit to Angel Reese, not just for the past week or two of the season, but for everything she’s done to help elevate the WNBA.”

He also praised Reese for her accountability early in the season when she admitted she was “terrible.”

Reese responded with another dominant outing Sunday, scoring 24 points in 38 minutes while adding 16 rebounds and seven assists. It was her fourth straight double-double, and she’s averaging 17.3 points during that stretch.
After earning All-Rookie Team and All-Star honors last season, Reese led the WNBA in rebounding in 2024 and is making a strong case to do it again in 2025. She is averaging 12.6 rebounds per game, more than 2.5 rebound per game more than her nearest competitor (A’ja Wilson).
