The Atlanta Dream, led by Angel Reese, picked up one of their biggest wins of the season on Thursday night, defeating Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever 108-101 in another chapter of the WNBA’s most-watched rivalry.
After helping Atlanta secure the victory with a clutch late-game layup, Reese took to X with a simple four-word reaction after beating her long-time rival.

Thursday’s matchup marked another installment of Reese’s long-running rivalry with Clark, which dates back to their teenage years and exploded onto the national stage during the 2023 NCAA Championship Game between LSU and Iowa.
After delivering her best performances of the season so far with her latest double-double of 21 points and 11 rebounds, Reese celebrated the win on X shortly after the final buzzer, posting:
“DUBSSS IN THE CHATTTT.”
Despite battling foul trouble throughout the game, Reese made several key plays in the closing minutes. She scored four points and grabbed three rebounds over the final 1:08, including a clutch and-one with 23.1 seconds remaining that extended Atlanta’s lead to seven points.

Reese’s performance was the latest entry in what has become a remarkable run of form for the two-time All-Star. Across her last five games, the 24-year-old has totaled 96 points and 71 rebounds.
For the season, Reese is averaging 15.1 points, 12.2 rebounds, and 2.9 assists while shooting 42.9% from the field across 14 games. With the win, the Dream have improved their record to 10-4 and sit second in the Eastern Conference above the 9-6 Fever.
Meanwhile, Clark was limited by foul trouble after committing her fifth foul with 8:41 remaining in the fourth quarter. She returned with 3:28 remaining but didn’t record a single point or assist. In total, Fever guard posted 26 points during the game, though she had a game-high of 5 turnovers.

The victory improved Reese’s career record against Clark to 2-5 in WNBA meetings. Before Thursday, Reese’s only win in the WNBA against Clark was on June 23, 2024, when the former LSU star helped the Chicago Sky edge the Fever 88-87.
Clark and the Fever are returning to Atlanta on Saturday for another nationally televised showdown. With the Dream and Fever tied at 1-1 for the season, Reese will have another opportunity to build on Thursday’s statement performance and also take a winning record in all-time matchups against her rival.
