The Minnesota Timberwolves’ chances of tying their series against the Denver Nuggets largely depend on the condition of star guard Anthony Edwards, who is currently listed as questionable for Monday’s matchup due to lingering pain from a runner’s knee.

Still, there is growing optimism about his availability, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania.

“Anthony Edwards is gonna be playing tonight,” Charania reports. “He’s gonna gut through it.”

The issue Edwards is dealing with, similar to the injury that kept Stephen Curry sidelined for more than two months, leads to swelling and discomfort in the knee and typically requires rest for full recovery.

It became serious enough late in the season that he underwent a platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injection to help manage the inflammation.

In Game 1, Edwards logged 38 minutes and finished with 22 points on 19 attempts, along with nine rebounds, seven assists, and three blocks.
