Two more UFC stars have been added to Hype Fighting’s upcoming event in Rio de Janeiro Brazil on March 11th.
The Russian promotion has made some waves over the past few months with interesting grappling matches featuring MMA fighters. Shara “Bullet” Magomedov and Arman Tsarukyan went at it over the Christmas holidays in Armenia, and they’ve also tried to book Dillon Danis vs. ‘John Pork’ Zaynukov, plus actor and BJJ enthusiast Tom Hardy.

Those didn’t pan out, but they did book Shara “Bullet” and Jorge Masvidal into a grappling match, and are now adding Arman Tsarukyan and Jean Silva into separate matches against opponents TBA.
Tsarukyan is coming off a controversial win at Real American Freestyle that saw him brawl with his opponent after their match due to some not-so-friendly slap and face rakes on the mat. Those extra-curriculars won’t stop him from heading to Brazil for yet another side quest as he continues to await a real fight in the UFC.
Jean Silva is coming off an impressive decision win over Arnold Allen that ended with “Lord” surfing on Allen’s back. That’s the kind of flashy behavior that catapults fighters into title contention these days, not long winning streaks. But if Silva is next for Alexander Volkanovski, it won’t be for a while. So a little distraction for the Brazilian fighter in the meantime is the plan.
Hype Brazil goes down from the Farmasi Arena with tickets ranging from $7 to $45 USD.
