Tottenham climbed out of the relegation zone after a dominant 2-1 win away at Aston Villa, winning back-to-back league games for the first time since the start of the season.
The result moved Roberto De Zerbi’s side one point adrift of relegation rivals West Ham, as their quest for Premier League survival continues.
A resurgent Spurs side dominated Villa from the off, with Conor Gallagher producing a composed finish to put the visitors ahead in the 12th minute.
Richarlison doubled the advantage in the 25th minute, scoring a header from a fine Mathys Tel cross, to capitalise on a woeful Villa side which hadn’t managed a single shot.
Unai Emery introduced Emi BuendÃa who netted deep into added time, but his goal proved only a consolation.
